Pasca

Pasca was eleven when her mother passed away and father had died a few years before that. At age eleven, Pasca was left to fend for herself and her three brothers and sister. Pasca who is now age 16 and her brother Douglas age 14 carry all the responsibilities of raising their three siblings including cooking, cleaning and earning a living while attending school. Pasca plows fields by hand to earn money. She receives around 500 shillings a day (about $.33 US). When asked how she survives on that she said "we eat little". For her that means survivng on one meal a day. I am working with the ADP manager to find a way to build them a house. This will allow them to move out of the settlement camp and have animals and crops.
