Today

It is a beautiful morning today in Uganda. I awoke from my cell (aka the smallest hotel room I've ever been in and it had bars on the window as well) with great joy in my heart. I realized once again how incredibly blessed I am. These trips help me keep it all in perspective and I thank God for them. I shared a devotion with the team today from Phil 1 where Paul writes "for me to live is Christ and to die is gain". In other words - what is the worst that can happen to me? He is saying that the worst that can happen to me is that I may have to continue to live in this world filled with trials and struggles. The best thing would be for me to go and be with Him. I send my love and prayers to all of you and special prayers to my New England fans for quick healing (not too quick) of your fallen quarterback. We are driving four hours today to Gulu where we will spend the next four days.
