Safari
Here is one of the safari vehicles we passed. It is funny, we actually did the whole Safari in a Toyota Sienna mini-van (all eight of us). It would have been much better in the back of a full-sized Denali.

Dei-brief
An important part of every trip is the de-brief session where we meet together and process all that we've seen and experienced on a trip. Today we spent some time as a team looking at Matthew 25 and the parables of judgment. We focused on the Parable of the Talents where Jesus says that we have to take what God has given us and invest it for a return. This trip in itself is a gift from God as he has revealed Himself to us through the face of the poor. As we head back to our homes we have a responsibility to act on what we have seen. My prayer is that this will be a life changing trip that will cause us to spend the rest of our lives engaged in caring for the poor and inviting others to join us on the journey.
Water for Elephants
These were our greeting party when we landed on the other side of the Nile. Later tonight when I was on my way to dinner they were about 20 feet from my door snacking on the landscaping shrubs until a porter scared them away by banging two rocks together.
Our Lodge
This is the Paraa Lodge on the Nile River taken from the ferry. We are staying here two nights. It is a beautiful place with first class service.
Pumba and Friends
These wart hogs were sleeping right next to the Nile where we caught the ferry. I've had wart hog in South Africa and it is tasty.
